Panna Cotta

Panna Cotta

Ingredients:

1 cup heavy creme
2 cups milk
1 tbsp unflavored gelatin
1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar (depending on how sweet you want it)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Method:

1. Separate 1/2 cup milk and add the gelatin to it, mix and let sit for 1/2 an hour.
2. Add sugar to the remaining milk and bring it to a boil then slowly add the gelatin mix in parts.
3. Remove the milk mix from the gas and add in the heavy creme and  vanilla essence.
4. Fill the mixture into containers or molds and freeze for 10 hours minimum.
5. Serve with jams and syrups and store upto 3 days.

 Notes:

Make sure to slow cook the milk while adding the gelatin, the milk should NOT be too hot or too cold, make sure to maintain a lukewarm temperature. I like to serve some fresh fruits or dry fruits along with the jams, in the picture, I used a mixed berry jam and served it with dried apricots and added chocolate chips along with the chocolate syrup.
Disclaimer: This dessert is very heavy so make the quantities accordingly. This recipe is for 8 glasses the size in the picture.
